Roof safety handle - remove and install
Roof safety handle - remove and install
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench 2 to 10 Nm -VAG 1783-
  Note
The removal and installation is described for the left roof`s safety handle. Removal and installation for the right roof`s safety handle is made in an analogue manner.
Removal:
  W00-0990
–  Fold the safety handle -1- downwards.
–  Disengage and turn covers -2- downwards towards -arrow-.
–  Remove fastening screws -3-.
–  Remove safety handle -1-.
Installation:
The installation occurs in the reversal sequence of removal, observing the following instructions:
–  Install safety handle -1-.
–  Tighten fastening screws -3- to (2 Nm) torque.
